Mani Sandher was approaching 40 when he was selected as one of the candidates on The Apprentice. Mani was fired in the fifth week after a boardroom run-in with Ruth.

Saira Shah, who couldn't stand Mani's management speak, wrote in her Apprentice blog that Sir Alan Sugar got it right:

"Mani was the right person to get fired this week. I could never really see him working for Sir Alan as he didn't have the right "street attitude" to work within the Amstrad culture."

Mani was born in Leamington Spa but now lives in London.

He has a Bsc in Physics and is a Management Consultant.

Mani Sandher runs his own business facilitating executive team building and three years ago he established a speed-dating company, SpeedFlirt.

After The Apprentice, Mani Sandher worked as an advisor for fellow Apprentice candidate Ben Stanberry in a health consultancy business, Avienda, and is a non-executive director.

Mani runs an international management consulting company called The 2nd Tier.

In June 2007, the BBC rejected a complaint by Mani Sandher that he had been unfairly portrayed in an edition of The Apprentice.
